Those who might need a little help for a meal, but aren’t able to get to food banks around the area during normal hours can now utilize a new Blessing Box outside of Cedartown First United Methodist Church.
The new Blessing Box located near the church portico was recently put up and is a new resource to ensure that those who have an immediate food needs can have items to help them get through rough times in the box.
Non-perishable food items are available in the box around the clock. Organizers ask that people take no more than they need. The goal is to help those underserved in the community in areas like mental health, homelessness and a lack of transportation available with food items when they are most in need.
Cedartown First United Methodist is located at 201 Wissahickon Ave.
Donations can be made to the Cedartown First United Methodist Church during regular hours. Call 770-748-4731 to find out how to help.
