UPDATE:

Police have taken a suspect into custody in a stabbing incident on Bennett Road in the last hour.

Per Polk County Police Chief Kenny Dodd, the suspect in question – believed to be a juvenile – was located at the Dollar General on Highway 278.

Polk County law enforcement officials are looking for a suspect this evening involved in a stabbing incident on Bennett Road in Fish Creek, according to Polk County Police Chief Kenny Dodd.

The suspect is believed to be driving a dark gray Honda Civic and is a white male. The suspect is believed to be a juvenile and his name is not being released at this time.

Those with immediate information are asked to contact 911 to report what they know.

No immediate information was available about the details of the incident, or of the condition of the victim.

A landing zone is being established at the Nathan Dean Sports Complex on Highway 278 in Rockmart to airlift the victim to the hospital.
