Allen wins the national SkillsUSA Silver Medal for First Aid and CPR

A Rockmart High School student in the Polk County College and Career Academy won a big national award this week in the SkillsUSA competition.

A posting from the Polk School District congratulated Josie Allen for her silver medal won for first aid and CPR in the national SkillsUSA competition. It marks the latest student from Polk County to not only participate, but take a national-level award for their skills in a variety of work-related areas.

Allen won the state title for SkillsUSA in First Aid and CPR and represented Georgia in the national competition held in Lexington, Kentucky on Monday through Thursday.
