Alerts this afternoon went out just as young woman found by Cave Spring Fire

Alerts from the Polk County Emergency Management Agency that went out to phones asking for help finding a young woman who went missing were retracted not long after when it was learned she was found in Cave Spring.

Brenda Oliver, 19, was reported in the message to have gone missing in the far north Cave Spring Road area late this afternoon.

Less than 30 minutes later, Polk County EMA was sending out a message rescinding the alert, notifying the public she had been found safely in Cave Spring.

Cave Spring Fire were able to find Oliver at 5:11 p.m. at a store across the county line in Cave Spring just minutes after the first alert was posted.

EMA officials thanked the public for their attention to the alert and Cave Spring Fire for their fast work to reunite Oliver with her family.
