Hazel Annette Morris

Hazel Annette Morris, age 83, passed away on May 11, 2025.

Born on July 29, 1941, in Atlanta, GA, to the late Roy Lee and Marie Alice Pritchett, Hazel lived a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories, dedicated to her family and friends.

A beloved homemaker, she embraced her role with joy, raising her children with warmth and affection that touched everyone who knew her.

Hazel’s spirit was as vibrant as her famous fried chicken and homemade cornbread dressing, which she often made for family gatherings. She was known for her feisty personality and her ability to bring smiles to everyone’s faces, whether it was from her cooking or her wickedly good sense of humor. Hazel found great joy in fishing with a simple cane pole, spending quiet afternoons making memories that will be treasured forever.

She especially loved coloring pictures for her grandchildren, delighting in the simple joy it brought both her and them. A lifelong fan of classic Westerns, Hazel spent countless hours watching John Wayne movies and television favorites like Gunsmoke and Wells Fargo, always drawn to the rugged charm and timeless values of the Old West.

In addition to her parents, Hazel is preceded in death by her loving husband, William Harold Morris; sons, Ronald “Ronnie” Morris and William Anthony “Tony” Morris; brother, Homer Lee “Buddy” Pritchett; and sister, Barbara Pritchett Morris.

Hazel is survived by her loving children, Gary Lee (Megan) Morris, Jackie Lynn (Travis) Kell, and Kenneth Eugene “Kenny” Morris; grandchildren, Chris Glover, Brittany Kell Vogt, Alex Morris, Brooke Morris, Kelsey Morris, Shane Morris; great-grandchildren, Caitlin Glover, Cayla Glover, Austin Glover, Wyatt Glover, Aiden Johnson, Keaton Vogt; great-great-grandchild, Riley Hund; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home on Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, May 16, 2025, at 2:00 pm in the Sam Clark Chapel with Rev. Don Rackley officiating.

Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Douglasville, Georgia with Alex Morris, Austin Glover, Travis Kell, Kenny Morris, Noah Vogt, Chris Glover, and John Oman serving as Pallbearers.
