It is every team’s goal in every sport to win a state title, and this year the Rockmart Yellow Jackets proved tough enough to stay atop the mountain and bring home championship gold for the school to celebrate.
Rockmart finished their two-day run at the state wrestling championship rounds on Thursday with an overall team win and two individual state champion wrestlers, per reports available this morning on the school’s Facebook page.

Dalvin Millhollan took the 163 lb state championship for his individual win.

Freshman Garrett Pace took a state title as a freshman in the 113 lb weight class. His brother Griffin Pace was a state champion in 2019 in wrestling. TK Davis took a state runner-up spot in his final match.
Bleu Winters took a fourth place in state for the team, and Izaeah Beavers took a third place finish.
The Jackets finished the two-day tournament in Macon with 202.5 points.
