Rockmart wrestlers have performed above and beyond their greatest expectations this season, and are now headed once again to the state level in hopes of bringing back gold and the pride of a championship for the Jacket Nation.

We will be having a SEND OFF tomorrow (Tuesday) at 5:45 for our STATE bound wresting team. We have THIRTEEN individuals competing for a state title and these boys deserve our support! Please line your cars up on the access road next to the hitting facility from the Knox Mountain Road entrance to RMS. Masks are highly recommended!

The team took the Traditional Area championship this past Friday, Feb. 5.

In past weeks, wrestlers have been grappling in tournaments as their seasons headed to an end. Rockmart Middle School was also a region champion this year.

The team finished third over all three individual champions: Eli Bowman, Hagen Sharp, and Caden Alford. Luke Clay also got a best match award for the middle school program.

High Schoolers head to state on Tuesday and compete midweek.
