Graduation right around the corner for local seniors

Families celebrate on May 23, weather looking good for outdoor event

The time has come for students at Bremen High and Haralson County High to close the book on one part of their lives, and start anew as graduates when they walk across the stage and claim their diplomas next Friday night.

Both Bremen High School and Haralson County High School’s graduation ceremonies are set for Friday night, May 23 starting at 8 p.m.

The two schools are planning for ceremonies to be held outdoors, with a weather forecast that should be cooler than normal for graduation season.

HCHS will be providing bus shuttle service to the high school campus from the Haralson County Middle and Tallapoosa Primary School starting at 5:30 p.m. to provide plenty of parking for guests. The campus will open at 5 p.m., and the gates to the stadium for guest seating will begin at 5:30 p.m. Seniors will start lining up around 30 minutes ahead of the ceremony.

No reserved seating is available, and family and guests will note they need to find spots on a first-come, first-served basis.

Bus shuttle service will resume for an hour after graduation concludes to ensure families and guests are able to get back to their vehicles. The buses are handicapped accessible.

Unless drivers who plan to park on campus have a parking pass, Haralson County High graduation guests will need to utilize shuttle service for either Haralson County Middle or Tallapoosa Primary.

They provided the following for where shuttle bus pickup locations will be available during graduation.

Bremen High’s graduation is also being held at 8 p.m. this coming Friday, May 23.

Tickets are being provided to seniors for the Class of 2025 ceremony – up to six for guests – for the ceremony on Redding Field. Though weather is not expected to be an issue next week, plans have been made to move indoors if necessary.

Gates will open at 6 p.m. for BHS’ ceremony, and those unable to attend can watch on the Bremen City Schools’ Facebook livestream of the upcoming ceremony.

No immediate information was found about parking for Bremen High’s graduation.

Weather forecasts for this coming Friday are still in a bit of flux, but are so far calling for temperatures in the mid 70s for the day and cooling off heading into the evening hours following a cold front pushing in earlier in the week and bringing rainfall and a slight drop on the thermometer.

Check back for any further updates needed as they become available.
