Mrs. Sylvia Elaine Brown Henson, age 64, of Waco, GA, passed away May 9, 2025.

She was born July 15, 1960 in Carrollton, GA to the late John Walton Brown and Sarah Louise Entrekin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Debbie Imel and brother in law, David Benefield.

Elaine graduated with the Bremen High School Class of 1978. She later worked as a detention officer for the Haralson County Sheriff’s Office for many years.

She is survived by her husband, Keith Henson; daughter, April Simmons, both of Waco; son and daughter in law, Jason and Brandi Clark, of Gadsden, AL; grandchildren, Ashley Loudermilk , Daniel Loudermilk, Elizabeth Clark, and Timothy Clark; great grandchild, Carter with one more on the way; sister, Lisa Benefield; brother and sister in law, John and Pam Brown, all of Wedowee, AL; brother in law, Buck Imel, of Bremen, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 15, 2025 at 2:00 PM EST in the Miller Funeral Home Dogwood Chapel with Pastor Robert Rutherford officiating. Gentlemen serving as pallbearers will be Chris Crews, Ryan Brown, Dakota Coleman, Daniel Loudermilk, Cole Sibley, and Kyle Sibley. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday beginning at 12:00PM.
