Mrs. Betty Ruth Hindmon, age 78, of Rockmart, GA passed away Monday morning, May 12, 2025.

Betty was born in Aragon, GA on November 24, 1946, a daughter of the late John Causey and the late Agnes Head Causey.

She had lived all of her life in Rockmart and was a member of Hills Creek Baptist Church. Betty had a love for shopping, reading, cleaning her house and taking trips to the beach.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Douglas Hindmon, Sr.; and her brother, Billy R. Causey.

Betty is survived by her son, Doug (Angie) Hindmon; sisters, Polly (Tommy) Johnson, Jeannie (Johnny) Hembree, and Lucy (David) Dingler; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hindmon will be held Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Alvis Miller & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Todd Tibbitts officiating. Interment will follow in the New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include Deacon Hindmon, Austin Crider, Avery Crider, and Jonathan Causey.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour at the funeral home.
