Mr. Samuel Wayne Leggett Sr., age 82, of Rockmart passed away Saturday, May 10, 2025 at his residence.

He was born in Dallas, GA on July 8, 1943, a son of the late J.D. Leggett and the late Vera Teal Leggett. Mr. Leggett had lived the greater part of his life in Paulding County where he attended Pleasant Grove Methodist Church.

Mr. Leggett had worked as an over the road truck driver for many years and was last employed as a heavy equipment operator for Lewallen Construction Company. He enjoyed horseback riding, fishing and sitting on the porch visiting with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Michelle Ezzell Leggett to whom he was married on October 18, 1995; four children: Sloan Malloy, Travis Justin Leggett, Samuel Wayne Leggett, Jr. and Brooke Smith. Eight grandchildren also survive.

Memorial services to celebrate his life will be held Saturday, May 24, 2025 at 3:00 pm in the Pleasant Grove Methodist Church, 3691 Coppermine Road, Temple, GA 30179, with Rev. Doug Taylor and Rev. Danny Tucker officiating.
