Cedartown was supposed to host a doubleheader in their three-game region stand against Pickens, and Rockmart was set to travel to Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe, but now those games are off for the day.

Rainy weather hanging over the area today from the remnants of Hurricane Ida moving through Northwest Georgia have left softball fields too soggy to play on, and games for both teams in region play will require rescheduling.

The Rockmart Lady Jackets have Ringgold at home on the schedule for Wednesday evening, and just came off of a rainout with Bremen on Monday. Both LFO and Bremen will be rescheduled. The Lady Warriors will play the Lady Jackets in the make-up game on Sept. 15.

Cedartown’s squad just came off of a split decision on Saturday with a win over Mt. Zion and a loss to Haralson County.

No word yet on when the make-up of the doubleheader will be played as of this posting.
