Most of the time, K-9 Tora at the Haralson County Sheriff’s Office is busy sniffing out drugs and criminal activity with her handler, but during a recent trip to Atlanta, her and handler Cpl. Jarrett Chandler got the honor to meet the big man at the Gold Dome.
Gov. Brian Kemp and First Lady Marty Kemp hosted Cpl. Chandler and Tora back in March per a HCSO Facebook post shared from the agency on Wednesday.
“Cpl. Chandler says it was indeed an honor for him and K-9 Tora. As always, K-9 Tora was on her best behavior through the event!,” they noted in the post.
K-9 Tora and Chandler have been together for the past year as a pair working for the Sheriff’s Office on drug enforcement and suspect tracking, helping to make many successful cases over the past year.
Cpl. Chandler is a five-year veteran of the Haralson County Sheriff’s Office.
The pair shook paws with Gov. and First Lady Kemp during a trip in March to the state capitol. But it wasn’t Tora’s first brush with fame.
She also made a cameo appearance in the Tubi TV movie Prisoner of Love, the story of Vicki White.
