A man was booked into custody over the holiday weekend after he was accused of storming into a house and leaving destruction in his wake last week, according to reports.
Polk County Police took David Ronnie Jay, 55, of a Cedartown-area address into custody on Saturday afternoon, February 15 after he was accused of entering a home on February 11.
Residents of the home told police he kicked in the front door – which was found in the front yard – and then went wild inside. Police reported they found everything destroyed inside, even the kitchen cabinets ripped from the walls.
Jay was no longer at the residence when police arrived, per the report.
PCPD later caught up with Jay on Saturday and took him into custody on a single charge of criminal trespass.
He remained in custody as of this posting waiting for bond to be set on the charge.
