A trio of local artists were selected by visitors to the Rockmart Art Gallery’s latest show during the holiday were awarded for their work, as voted upon by the people.

Rockmart Cultural Arts Center offered congratulations to Kimberly McGuinness, Lee Simpkins and Dana Helton for their award-winning works as decided in the People’s Choice Awards for “Let’s Celebrate” Holiday Art Exhibit.

McGuiness’ work earned the first place award via ballots cast, with Simpkins taking second and Helton in third.

“Let’s Celebrate” Holiday Art Exhibit winners took home cash prizes for their artwork wins during the Christmastime show. McGuiness won $100, Simpkins took a $50 prize and Helton was provided a $25 prize.

Winners were announced on Dec. 19.
