Tallapoosa man arrested in Polk on multiple charges involving sex trafficking, enticing a minor

A Tallapoosa man remained in the Polk County Jail without bond after he was caught by police trying to entice a minor here in Polk County that turned out to be a police detective.

Det. B. Brady with the Polk County Police said that he was working undercover online with a profile as a minor and began chatting with Ethan Connor Goolsby, 20, of a Tallapoosa address, and acting as a teenager arranged a meeting with him here in Polk County.

When Goolsby arrived to spend time with the minor, he instead found Brady and other police officers waiting to arrest him. He said there was no further incident upon arrest.

Goolsby was charged by police with Trafficking of persons for sexual servitude, criminal solicitation, criminal attempt to commit a felony, enticing a child for indecent purposes, violation of the Computer Pornography and Child Exploitation and Prevention Act, and employ/use minor to engage in/assist person in sexually explicit conduct for a visual medium.

He was denied bond after being jailed Thursday afternoon, July 9.
