A thank you message from Tony Brazier, Polk County Probate Judge elect

Tony Brazier

To the voters of Polk County:

Thank you to the great voters of Polk County for electing me as your next Probate Judge.

Whether you voted for me or not, I want each of you to know that my sole commitment is to you, each of you, the citizens of our great county. I pledge to you all my total dedication to make you proud of the duties of this Office and to provide a greater level of service in any way that we can.

As I have said in the past, I have several goals once I take office to ensure a smooth transition and to make continued improvements within the Probate Court office. As I take office, I plan to conduct a good comprehensive evaluation of the Probate Court so as to know what our strengths and weaknesses are. My desire is together to work on our strengths and improve and correct any issues the office might face in the months ahead.

I wish to note that it is very important that we retain effective and seasoned employees, tapping into those employees’ inner strengths and help them to more effectively serve the public. I look forward to working with the very talented and gifted people serving in that office and through my efforts I seek to make them even more talented and gifted. I want the people of Polk County to have the BEST Office of the Probate Court of any county around us – and I know we can accomplish that.

Placing the people’s needs first, I’d like to put into place policies to allow the Office of the Probate Court the ability to streamline and even add additional services without adding additional expense. As I said to our great citizens during my campaign, this court is the “Court of the People” and we need to fulfill that and do more to help our people.

One way which I will seek to improve the office is in faster turnaround times on generating necessary documents for the people, and work to streamline traffic court and it’s associated services so as to provide assistance there. I also will have more effective and careful diligence on the issuances of firearms permits as well as other permits.

Thirdly, as population growth comes, so must come the extension of our Offices services to growing areas of Polk County. At this time the eastern parts of Polk County, more specifically the Rockmart, Aragon, and Taylorsville areas seem to be growing at a faster rate, population-wise.

For that reason I want to work directly with Rockmart City Government in what I see would be a joint effort to place a satellite office of the Probate Court within city hall.

Serving the Rockmart area, It would make it so much easier and more convenient for someone in that area of the county to go to a Rockmart location to secure their documents, permits, etc…than having to drive an additional fifteen or twenty miles to get what they need form that office, there locally.

I believe that I could do that very effectively with the current staff that the Office has in place currently, thus making that Office even more of an asset, not only to the people but the entire county as a whole.

My door is always open, our staff is always at your service and together we’ll make for the Best of the Best Probate Courts to ever serve in the North West Georgia area.

May God bless each and every one of you.

Signed,

Tony Brazier, Polk County Probate Judge elect
