Parents and youth who have been waiting for a recreation sports season to return in Rockmart, get ready for signups to start on Monday for winter teams.

Basketball returns to Rockmart and signups begin Monday, November 2, through Saturday, November 14 through the recreation department. They’ll be available from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays.

Signups are being held at the old high school gym at City Hall during the two weeks available.

This marks a return to recreation sports after spring and fall seasons were called off due to COVID-19 and concerns about keeping youth healthy within the city.
