Mrs. Brenda Atkins Temple, age 77 of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2024.  She was born on January 3, 1947 in Polk County.  She was the daughter of the late William Horace and Rachel Dutton Atkins. 

Mrs. Temple is survived by her husband, Gary Van Temple, Sr.; son, William Scott Temple; grandchildren, Maci Lauren Temple, Austin Temple (Katie), Dalton Temple, Ray Ballew and Halley Stewart; and great-children, Zander Vann Carrol, Oakley Paige Smith Temple, Raiden Hope Temple, and Mary Ellen Stewart. 

Mrs. Temple is preceded in death by her parents; son, Gary Van Temple, Jr., sister, Diane Bailey; brothers, William Horace Atkins, Jr. and Jimmy Douglas Atkins; and granddaughter, Jenna Hope Temple. 

In keeping with Mrs. Temple’s wishes, she was cremated.  The family of Mrs. Temple will receive family and friends on Sunday, December 29, 2024 from two o’clock in the afternoon until four o’clock in the afternoon at the Gammage Funeral Home. 

The family of Mrs. Temple has respectfully requested that flowers be omitted and memorial donations can be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Mrs. Brenda.
