A man was charged with theft after he was accused of taking hunting equipment from a Jeep parked in a carport over the weekend, according to reports.
Polk County Police charged Timothy David Patnode, 41, of a Cave Spring address after he was accused of taking hunting equipment out from the back of a Jeep Cherokee parked in a carport at a residence on Cave Spring Road.
Officers reported the theft happened sometime between Saturday night and Sunday morning after the owner of the items called to report it Sunday morning. He provided PCPD with home surveillance video of a potential suspect who came up to his residence on Friday in their own Jeep, knocked on the door and looked around inside of the victim’s vehicle.
Police did not have further information in their report on how they came to find out that Patnode was the same man in the video as of this posting.
The Cave Spring man was booked into the Polk County Jail on Sunday afternoon and remained in custody on felony charges without bond set as of this posting.
Patnode was charged with felony theft by taking and entering automobile or vehicle with intent to commit theft.
