A local family is going to get some much needed help from a contractor willing to give back.

Oak Ridge Roofing took applications back through the month of September to determine who they would decide was deserving of their services by putting a roof on their home at no cost.

Earlier in the month, the local company finally announced who their selection was for the giveaway.

On October 7, Oak Ridge Roofing announced that Karl and Karen Lindsey will be getting the help they need with a free roof on their home.

“The winner is Corey Lindsey’s folks,” owner Joe Tatum said in a video announcement earlier in the month. “He sent me a great email, I went by and looked at the project and actually got to sit down with the folks and talk to them. It really needs a roof. They’ve got major leaks, major issues.”

More than 100 emails, voicemails, texts and calls came into the business during September nominating themselves or someone they know for help with the giveaway.
