Officials with the City of Cedartown gathered on Tuesday evening, September 10, with residents around the Turner Street Park area to talk about plans for the park heading into the future after the completion of the Turner Street Center set to finally open later this month.

The city’s plans include a complete revamp of the park’s layout with opportunities to add a stage for events, a new pavilion, a new playground closer to the center and reworking the current baseball field’s layout to be smaller and useful for more than just one sport.

Other options are available, and residents are also hoping for some kind of splash play area like the splash pad at Peek Park for youth to enjoy during hot summer days.
