The Rockmart Lady Yellow Jackets have taken on teams big and small so far this year, and they’ll continue to build upon their 2-3 record after finishing out the first week of play.

Rockmart’s season is running just below .500 at the start after some tough matches at home and on the road around Polk to kickoff 2023 this past week on August 8 at home, and August 10 on the road.

The Lady Jackets took a 2-0 loss to the Rome Lady Wolves on August 10, and in round robin play also fell 2-0 to Dalton.

Earlier last week, they nabbed a 2-0 win over Douglas County and a 2-0 win over Unity Christian School. They fell in August 8 matches to Heard County in a 2-1 finish.

Rockmart continues the season on the road with play on Tuesday starting at 5 p.m. at Temple and Heirway Christian Academy of Douglasville. The Lady Jackets then have Heard County and Pike County on Thursday before the host the At the Rock Tournament this coming weekend on Saturday, August 19.

They’ll start that tourney with Douglas County, Sonoraville and LaGrange on tap on the schedule.
