The Cedartown Bulldogs fell in a 37-35 trip to Carrollton in region play against the Central Lions.
The game came down to the wire as the Bulldogs tried to rally after falling behind in the first half in a game Cedartown kept close, but like with recent outings couldn’t come up with the last shots to run away with the victory.
Cedartown drops to 4-8 on the year and 2-3 in the region, at fourth place as the second half of the season continues.
They host Ridgeland on Friday night for their next opportunity to pick up a win and end a three-game slump that started at the beginning of the year.
Following that, Cedartown heads to Pickens and hosts Heritage next Tuesday and Friday.

Cedartown’s girls fell by a 29-point margin against the Lady Lions in a 42-13 finish. That put the Lady Bulldogs at 2-8 on the year and 1-4 in region play, putting them at second to last in 7-AAAA as the second half of the season continues.
The Lady Bulldogs haven’t picked up a victory since mid-December when they faced Southeast Whitfield and came away with a 45-32 victory over the Lady Raiders.
Southeast currently sits at last place in the region, and Cedartown faces them again later this month in a trip to the Dalton area on January 25.
They host Ridgeland on Friday at home in their latest opportunity to rally the season.
