A Cedartown Bulldog alum who played football and baseball is now off at college, and already back in a uniform for his new school.
The Wallace State Community College Lions in Alabama signed Corben Cuzzort for his baseball talents over the summer after he graduated from CHS and just turned 19 in recent days, got a start on the mound against Calhoun Community College in Decatur, Alabama, on Sept. 10 for his new squad.
A score wasn’t available from either team for the final on the game.
Cuzzort, who is pitching for the Lions, finished his senior season with the Bulldogs with a 4-7 record on the mound (per Maxpreps info) and helped the Bulldogs go 23-11 to finish out the year and took a region title in 7-AAAA and made it to the third round of the playoffs to finish out his career at Cedartown.
