Update 3/11/24:

A Carrollton man died of injuries sustained in a single-car wreck on Sunday afternoon on Antioch Road, according to information from the Georgia State Patrol and the Polk County Coroner’s Office.

GSP and Coroner Norman Smith confirmed that Chaize O’Donald Henderson, 19, of a Carrollton address, died as a result of injuries sustained during the wreck on Sunday, March 10.

Per GSP officials, Henderson was behind the wheel of a 2007 Toyota Prius and heading eastbound on Antioch Road when he got to a left curve and failed to maintain lane around 3:45 p.m.

After the Prius left the roadway, the car struck a tree on the driver’s side. Henderson was pronounced dead at the scene, per Smith and the GSP.

The GSP noted the details were preliminary and the wreck remains under investigation.
