Get ready for the season to get frosty and full of cheer as the City of Hiram is hosting the annual Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony on the first Saturday in December in downtown Hiram.

The lighting ceremony hosted by the city is coming up on Dec. 7 from 6 to 9 p.m. with an event offering more than just flipping the switch on the big tree.

Organizers are planning for a visit from Santa Claus and The Grinch, a free kids area, plus a petting zoo and pony rides alongside vendors and food trucks in the event.
