A Kingston man remains in custody after being brought over from Bartow County to face multiple charges for a January 2023 domestic incident, per reports.

Shamus Dillion Thomas, 25, of a Kingston address, was booked into the Polk County Jail after being picked up by deputies from the Bartow County Jail on Thursday afternoon. He remains in custody as of this posting with bond denied on felony and misdemeanor charges stemming from a January 16 and 17, 2023 incident.

Per a Cedartown Police report taken last year, the victim reported that Thomas had held them against their will, broken their phone, struck them multiple times and at one point held a knife to their throat. After being able to get away and seek help from neighbors, Thomas fled in the victim’s vehicle.

He later abandoned it at a nearby apartment parking lot, locked it and left without the keys.

Warrants were taken out at the time for Thomas’ arrest.

The charges he now faces in Polk County include felonies for theft by taking, peeping tom, kidnapping, burglary – smash and grab, false imprisonment and aggravated assault. He also was charged with misdemeanors for obstructing or hindering persons making emergency telephone call, two counts of criminal trespass and driving while license suspended or revoked.
