VOTE 2024: Election Day underway as historic vote already draws

Polls opened at 7 a.m. as more than 70,000 residents registered to vote have already cast their ballot during early voting, and more are expected at precincts today as another historic election wraps up today.

Some 73,859 voters have already cast a ballot between voting early in person and absentee ballots submitted back to the Board of Elections. That’s out of more than 123,000 active voters in the county.

That’s out of more than 4 million who voted early statewide, and more than 76 million nationally who cast a ballot before Election Day arrived today.

A total of 21 precincts are available for voters today as races across the area are decided today for the 2024 election.

Voters this go-round are deciding on several races locally, the District 14 congressional race, and the race for President of the United States, along with three ballot questions from the state legislature.
