The Polk County Chamber of Commerce’s County Commission District 2 candidate forum is coming up this evening via a livestream event, and several candidates will be on hand to answer questions that have been submitted by the public.
Candidates will be live via video from the Board of Commissioners meeting room at 7 p.m., with former Cedartown Commissioner Jordan Hubbard acting as moderator of the event.
The same rules will apply as other candidate forums, however no audience will be allowed on site due to the COVID-19 social distancing guidelines that remain in place at this time.
For those who submitted questions, please note that if your question is similar to others, the language will be combined into one item to pose to the commission candidates.
On the ballot this year is Linda Liles, appointed to serve through the end of the year in the District 2 seat and seeking the remain in place for the rest of the term, along with Jody Bentley Smith, Glenn Robinson, Chris Roberson and Ricky Clark.
Check back later this evening to find the Chamber livestream here on Polk.Today, or you can tune in to WGAA Radio for their broadcast of the candidate forum.
