Police: Two jailed after pulling up to house and starting fight

Polk County Police charged two people for a fight over the weekend that ended with one suspect in custody and another on the run for a couple of days, according to reports.

Both victims were taken to Floyd Medical Center for treatment. One of the victims was transported for an existing injury that was made worse by Hailey Angel Greathouse and Terry Shawn Vines, who were alleged to have pulled up to a New Harmony Road address and began to attack a male and female victim.

The report stated the pair who were attacked told police that Greathouse had pulled up to the house and began to scream at the female victim, then both male and female were struck. Including a leg wound that was stomped on several times and opened back up, requiring new stitches. The female victim also had a broken nose, officers noted.

Per the report, witnesses backed up the story as well as security footage from a nearby home with an outdoor camera. Officers had to do some work to track down other people involved and get their statements, but the camera footage and witness testimony ultimately saw Greathouse taken into custody for aggravated assault, despite claims that the male victim had started it by punching Greathouse in the face.

She was charged with felony aggravated assault in the incident. Police asked her where they could find Vines, who was also being sought for aggravated assault at the time. She told them during the Sunday incident she had no idea where he could be found at the time.

Greathouse was later released on a $5,000 bond for the felony aggravated assault charge.

Police finally caught up to Vines on Tuesday.

Cedartown Police took him into custody on a felony aggravated assault charge on a misdemeanor failure to appear charge. He had bond set on the failure to appear charge, but no bond yet for the felony charge.

Vines was taken into custody at midnight.
