
The Polk County Fairgrounds usually this time of year is full of families having fun on rides, listening to music, and enjoying the Exchange Club’s famous hot dogs.
Instead, youth from around the area came with cattle this past weekend for a Livestock Judging competition that was organized with the help of the Polk County Cattleman’s Association. Around 60 competitors were on hand from around the area for the event, pitting students and their livestock against one another.
The Cattleman’s Association also used the opportunity to honor seniors in the Livestock Judging program by providing them gift cards.
