They made it to the first round, but a two-game shutout on the road ended the Lady Dawgs season unexpectedly.

Cedartown finished with a double header loss – both shutouts 9-0 and 12-0 – against Cambridge on the road on Oct. 16, and knocked them out of the Class 4A playoffs before they could get started.

That brought the Lady Dawgs’ 17-14 campaign over 2024 to an end.

Cedartown improved from the previous year where they went 8-18 and missed the playoffs during 2023.

This was Head Coach Josh Smith’s first year leading the Lady Bulldogs softball squad.
