Mrs. Gwendolyn Marion Franks, age 86, of Dallas, Georgia passed away March 11, 2022 in Austell, Georgia.

Mrs. Franks was born November 5, 1935 in Hendersonville, North Carolina to Mr. Walter Eugene Lance and Mrs. Marion Elizabeth Hawes Lance.

She married to Mr. Edward Franks prior to his passing 2005. They were married for 53 years. She was a home maker.

She was also a life long member of High Shoals Baptist Church.

Mrs. Franks was preceded in death by: Husband, Mr. Edward Franks; Son, Mr. Gary Franks; Son, Mr. Randy Franks; Brother, Mr. George Lance; Sister, Mrs. Brenda Nelson.

Mrs. Franks is survived by: Daughter, Mrs. Jan (Mike) Dispain; Daughter, Mrs. Kay (Melvin) Hudgins; Son, Mr. Tim Franks; Daughter, Mrs. Gail (Kent) Mulford; Daughter in Law, Ms. Shelly Seamans; 14 Grandchildren; 24 Great Grandchildren; Brother, Mr. Don Lance; Brother, Mr. Luther (Deena) Lance; Brother, Mr. Eddie (Melva) Lance; Brother, Mr. Bill Lance; Brother, Mr. Danny Lance; Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, March 19, 2022, 1:00 P.M. at High Shoals Baptist Church. Rev. Jason Purser will officiate. Mrs. Franks will lie in state from 12:00 – 1:00 P.M. Interment will follow at High Shoals Baptist Church Cemetery.
