The Rockmart Lady Jackets moved to 5-1 after their latest win on Monday, and are back in region action today on the road through the rest of the week.
The Lady Jackets took a 3-1 victory on Monday over Carrollton on their home turf, coming off of a 4-1 start that included tourney wins over White County and Villa Rica. Rockmart fell to Hebron Christin in Game 3 to close out the first weekend, and haven’t looked back since.
A trio of wins over Haralson County, Union County to open region play and Carrollton on Monday put the Lady Jackets back on top with a 5-1 record heading into a trip this afternoon northward.
Rockmart is in action against Coahulla Creek this afternoon at 5:30 p.m. in Whitfield County, then travel on Thursday to face off against the Lady Mountaineers for a region matchup at North Murray.
They’ll be back next week for home stands in region play against Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe and Sonoraville to round out the month of August.
The latest wins put Rockmart in a three-way tie with Sonoraville and North Murray for control of the region. The Lady Phoenix have Ringgold this afternoon, while North Murray takes a trip to Union County in region play, which could change the odds in the Lady Jackets favor by the end of the night.
