A Rockmart man remains in jail after his arrest on Friday on two charges after he was found to be having an inappropriate relationship with a minor that crossed state lines, according to Rockmart Police.

Officers arrested Bradley Lee Lindsey, 28, of a Rockmart address on the morning of Friday, March 3, 2023 on felony charges of statutory rape and child molestation. He remained in the Polk County Jail without bond set as of this posting.

Per Rockmart Police, Lindsey was charged after he had an inappropriate relationship with a minor that began three years ago, and took the pair into another state.

Due to the nature of the crimes, no additional information is being provided to protect the victim.

Police note that additional charges are likely to follow from law enforcement outside of Georgia due to the travel to and from the state.
