Local resident Rick Baxter spent several minutes and provided a PowerPoint presentation during the Monday, October 3, 2022 work session of the Polk County Commission against a proposed horizontal shift of the remaining tonnage of garbage going into the Grady Road Landfill instead of continued vertical growth.
