The Aragon Police Department is now accepting applications for their Christmas Joy for Kids Program.

This program is designed to help provide Christmas gifts for children of qualifying families in need this holiday season.

The Department hopes to reach out to the community with this program as a way to spread Christmas joy and cheer. Families looking to participate have until Wednesday, November 24 at 4 p.m. to send in their applications.

If you are looking to qualify for the program, there are several criteria that must be met to enter.

– The age limit for children is 2-12 years old.
– Applicants must be the legal parent or guardian of the child
– Applicants must be a citizen of either Aragon or Rockmart

-Applicants *must bring* a picture ID and birth certificates for each child you sign up (no Social Security cards, please)

– Must bring two proof of residency documents (utility bills, rental agreements, etc.)

Please note that to receive assistance this holiday, the Police Department will cross-reference applications on their list with other agencies participating in Christmas for Kids programs. Violation of this rule or giving false information will disqualify your application.
