City of Rockmart announces plans for annual Christmas is for Kids program

Need help this holiday season making Christmas day merry and bright for your youth? Rockmart Police are looking to help make their Christmas is for Kids program a success in 2021, and there two meetings being held tomorrow, Wednesday October 27, for any volunteers looking to lend a helping hand.

The City is looking for organizers, baggers, and shoppers to help with the program this year. The first meeting is scheduled for 12 p.m., and the second will be at 4 p.m. Both meetings will take place at the Rockmart Police Department.

We’re pleased to announce that we are now taking applications for the “Christmas is for Kids” program. The deadline to apply is November 19, 2021. The criteria is listed below.

Ages 2-12. If a child is 0-2 and other siblings are part of the program, they will be accepted and provided for so include them on the application. The application has to be filled out by the legal guardian or parent. Must be a citizen of Rockmart or Aragon. Bring a picture ID. Birth certificates for each child. 2 proofs of residency.

*You must not be signed up in other programs. We call each other and cross reference to avoid allowing people to double dip and use resources that another child may need.
