Fall workshops coming up at RCAC provide creative opportunities

If you’re feeling the need to put some creativity in your life this Fall, look no further than the list of workshops, events, and exhibits happening in Rockmart this season!

The Rockmart Cultural Arts Center is hosting an extensive calendar of activities that all members and friends are encouraged to take advantage of through the rest of the season.

There’s something happening for every creative type and any artistic itch you can’t quite scratch, with classes ranging from children’s art, beginner drawing and oil painting, candle making, weaving, pottery, and needle crafting.

And if you’re more into observing art than creating it for yourself, there are also a multitude of upcoming art exhibits for guests to visit, as well as two upcoming performances from the Rockmart Theatre to check out later this month.

Some of the classes and workshops are held weekly between Mondays and Thursdays, while others have individual dates throughout the season. For example, on Saturday, October 23, Anita Kennerley is hosting a Polymer Clay Gnome workshop, and on the same day, Tina Lanier is leading a Vintage Tree Workshop. Contact these ladies for more information if you’re interested in attending.

Check out the attached flyer for more information on the workshops and events offered this season to get individual dates, times, and prices for every event. Guests looking to attend are required to contact the individual instructors to sign up. For any other questions, you may have, contact RCAC at 770-684-2707 or send an email to rcac@rockmart-ga.gov.

You can also find weekly class schedules on the Polk Today Area Calendar of events! (Have an event that you’re hosting and it’s not listed? Contact Kevin at polktoday@gmail.com)
