
Firefighters have been out on the scene of a structure fire on Hunter Street in Rockmart for several hours after a residence was heavily damaged, according to Fire Chief Todd Queen.
Calls went out to Rockmart Fire and Polk County Volunteer firefighters this evening around 8 p.m. to a Hunter Street address, per Queen.
He said that a cause is still under investigation and that damage was heavy from the smoke and flames.
No injuries were reported.
