Cedartown set to get back onto gridiron with pre-season trip to Cass
The Cedartown Bulldogs are heading back onto the field this evening for the first time in 2021 to face their opening opponent after enjoying a party downtown at the courthouse on Thursday night.
The first-ever Bulldog Bash block party took over Prior Street on Thursday evening along with the Polk County Courthouses front lawn, giving an opportunity for fun and games, food, teammates to meet and greet the public and photos to be taken ahead of the varsity’s scrimmage against Cass this evening.
Along with family fun, coaches sat down for a chance for players to have a bit of entertainment by throwing water balloons at the coaches.
It was the first-ever pre-season event for the Bulldogs in downtown Cedartown, and when approved back in July planners reported to the City Commission they hope to bring the event back ahead of the 2022 season.
Cedartown is on the road against the Colonels starting today at 7:30 p.m. in Bartow County.
