The Rockmart Yellow Jackets extended their winning streak in a Friday trip to Chatsworth, the start of a long journey on the road through the second half of the season in region play.

The Jackets took a 58-43 victory over North Murray for their fifth win in a row since the start of the Hillburn-Patterson Invitational in Haralson County, which the Jackets won back in late December. They opened the week with a victory over Ringgold.

Rockmart fell behind North Murray in early minutes, but mounted several defensive stands under the Mountaineers basket and caused turnovers, then with a Cam Ferguson three-pointer began to turn the game around as they cut the lead to two, then ultimately overtook the game by shooting better than the home team through the second half of the game.

Jackets are back on the road on Monday at Coahulla Creek, then travel to Adairsville on Friday.
