The Rockmart Lady Jackets will have some work to do to make up for an 11-point loss at home in region play against Ringgold on Tuesday night.

Rockmart fell behind as the Lady Tigers took a 11-4 lead in the first quarter, and held it through halftime and through the final, 47-36.

The Lady Jackets did put up a 13-10 run in the fourth quarter trying to come from behind, but it was too-little, too-late for the Rockmart girls squad to pick up a victory.

That puts them at 2-4 in Region 6-AAA overall, and 5-5 on the year after a full December of play. (Info on two games from the holiday tournament is missing on MaxPreps where I usually find info about games… on FB I see they took a loss to Haralson and were supposed to play Piedmont for Game 3 in the tourney? – KtE)

They, like their counterparts on the boys squad, have a busy round of road games up ahead. They drive on Friday in Chatsworth to face North Murray, next Monday to Dalton at Coahulla Creek, Adairsville after that on Jan. 14, then a trip to Summerville on Jan. 15, followed by Sonoraville on Jan. 18, LaFayette on Jan. 21 and finally one closer to home at Cedartown on Jan. 22.
