Rotary adds a couple as new members, approves leadership through 2021

Polk County Rotarians added a husband and wife to their membership on Tuesday, and the club also approved of their leadership through 2021 at the final meeting for June.

Richard and Rebecca Abrams were officially added to the roles of the club during their June 30 meeting in the conference room at the shared Polk County Chamber and Development Authority of Polk County offices. Richard Abrams operates Abrams HVAC, while Rebecca is owner of the White Tulip Market on South Marble Street in downtown Rockmart.

Club members also approved of their leadership for the coming fiscal year. Debbie Ross will remain president of the club for the year, her third year in the leadership role. Risa Foley is the secretary/treasurer for the year, Randy Turner is serving as Sergeant-at-Arms and Janet Ross is acting as Board of Directors for the year.

Foundation and fundraising committees chair is Sherman Ross, and David Robinson is the chair of the Literacy committee.

Rotary’s officers for 2020 include Randy Turner, Sherman Ross, Debbie Ross, Janet Ross and Risa Foley.
